Key: how to read this page

The Bill is shown clause by clause (then Schedule by Schedule). Where a clause or Schedule paragraph amends an existing Act, the affected provision is shown underneath in a shaded box, as it would read once the change is applied: insertions underlined, deletions struck through, pulled from legislation.gov.uk. A clause with no shaded box makes new law of its own rather than amending an existing Act. Text shown lightened and in italics is not yet in force.

An unofficial reading aid: always verify against the Bill and the legislation. Nothing here is legal advice.

74. Clause 5 sets out which of the IIAA members will sit on the Procedure Rules Board. It also provides for the Chair to appoint standing members to the IIAA in specialist areas. 75. The make-up of the Procedure Rules Board is intended to include adequate legal expertise to ensure that the Rules are fit for purpose, whilst also including operational expertise in the form of the CE. The option to appoint further standing members will enable the Chair to ensure that the Board can make Rules in areas requiring specialist expertise where relevant.
